Information Management / Business Intelligence Practice Director
We are currently seeking an Information Management / Business Intelligence Practice Director to join our growing organization! This individual will provide vision, management and leadership to the team that provides SysLogic’s market-leading Information Management / Business Intelligence Practice.
Core Areas of Responsibility
- Technical Strategy Research and Development
- Management of current strategy
- Eye to future on strategy alignment, technical innovation overview
- Development of new client solutions and offerings
- Plan of emerging technologies and leadership and guidance on where Delivery team should focus research and training
- Competitive awareness
- Be a critical part of Management team to lead organization
- Employee Management
- Team building and centering
- Interviewing and candidate analysis
- Career development and mentoring
- Mentoring and advocacy of team
- Technical Client Engagement
- Work closely with Business Development to evaluate clients’ needs and develop solutions, assist in highlighting organizational capabilities and experiences
- Proposal development and creation
- Resource management, aligning right people at the right time
- Define approach/methodology and rigor appropriate for client initiatives
- Engagement Management
- Oversee all projects within practice
- Development of high-level plans and timelines individually or in conjunction with SysLogic's Project Management Center of Excellence
- Financial Management
- Manage and develop practice budget
- Profit and Loss oversight for practice
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading complex Information Management, Business Intelligence or Data Warehousing projects
- 10+ years managing people in a technical environment
- 5-8 years project management experience executing proven methodology highly desired
- Extensive knowledge in business proposal and business case development
- Extensive expertise delivering analytical solutions, research analysis and report design
- Demonstrated ability to convert strategic goals and objectives into tangible steps and programs
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence protocols and architectures (Microsoft, Oracle, Cognos, Business Objects, Hyperion, Ascential)
- Solid foundation in data warehousing, ETL, executive dashboards, OLAP, data mining and data modeling
- Highly motivated and self-directed
- Capable of and willing to translate and present technical concepts into practical business terms for both small and large group settings
- Prior consulting experience in operation or delivery is desired
Education / Certifications / Training
- BA or BS degree required; focus in IT or CS a desirable
- PMP Certification is preferable
- Other applicable continuing education/training
