UPAF Ride for the Arts 2013 UPAF Ride for the Arts

Team SysLogic (including CEO Tina Chang) will be cycling en masse in the 2013 UPAF Ride for the Arts, sponsored by Miller Lite. Pledges raised by riders benefit the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF), a nonprofit, umbrella fundraising organization that supports 32 Member Groups and Affiliates in Southeastern Wisconsin. UPAF is among the nation's largest united arts funds in terms of dollars raised and number of donors. Join Team SysLogic and others in our community who believe in the impact that the performing arts have on our economy, culture, and children’s education.

Professional Dimensions 32nd Annual Professional Dimensions Sacagawea Awards Dinner

“Honoring the Spirit of Women”
The 32nd Annual Professional Dimensions Sacagawea Awards Dinner honors Tina Chang, Chairman & CEO of SysLogic, Inc. and Dr. Kathleen O'Brien, Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, Alverno College.

Since 1982, Professional Dimensions has showcased the achievements of women with annual Sacagawea Award, named after the only woman on the Lewis and Clark expedition, and one who epitomizes the qualities sought in the two award recipients. The Sacagawea Award is intended to honor women of many dimensions who had made significant career accomplishments, and who were often trailblazers. In addition, award recipients are chosen for their commitment to community, support for the advancement of women, and embodiment of the trail blazing spirit of Sacagawea.

The awards dinner supports the work of the Professional Dimensions Charitable Fund, which raises money to help non-profit agencies in Milwaukee working to assist women and their families. In 2013, that organization is CORE/El Centro.

AABB 2010 Annual Meeting and CTTXPO 2010 AABB Annual Meeting & CTTXPO
BloodCenter of Wisconsin, UW-Madison RFID Lab, and SysLogic are among the partners in the Transfusion Medicine RFID Consortium who will appear at the 2010 AABB Annual Meeting & CTTXPO in Baltimore, MD.

The AABB (formerly known as American Association of Blood Banks) Annual Meeting & Cellular Therapy and Transfusion Medicine Expo (CTTXPO) provides transfusion and cellular therapy professionals with hands-on access to the latest products, technologies, and solutions for the blood banking and transfusion industry. Information about the National Institutes of Health grant-funded project, RFID in the Blood Product Supply Chain, will be available in the Transfusion Medicine RFID Consortium booth (#102) throughout the conference.

On Monday, October 11 from 4:00-5:30 PM, Lynne Briggs of BCW, industry expert Clive Hohberger, Alfonso Gutierrez from the UW-Madison RFID Lab, and Mark Anastas from S3Edge, will present an update on the RFID in the Blood Product Supply Chain project (educational panel #9326-TC-IT).

The relatively recent instruction of information technology in workflow management has allowed significant gains in efficiency and productivity. SysLogic CEO Tina Chang joins a distinguished panel of female business leaders from the Milwaukee area on December 7, 2009, for Women on Boards.

This annual event is designed to educate and prepare women for service and leadership on for-profit and non-profit boards. Panelists will share their knowledge and experience, and discuss strategies and tools for serving as a board director.

This event benefits the Sojourner Family Peace Center (the new organization formed by the Sojourner Truth House and the Task Force on Family Violence). SysLogic attended the 2009 Microsoft SharePoint Conference in Las Vegas, where Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer unveiled SharePoint Server 2010, announced November betas, and talked about SharePoint’s ability to improve organizational productivity by providing comprehensive content management and enterprise search, accelerating shared business processes, and facilitating information-sharing across boundaries for better business insight.

Microsoft Windows Azure Wisconsin Azure User Group

SysLogic CEO Tina Chang participated in the taping of a panel discussion for an hour-long prime time TV news special on the economy in Wisconsin, hosted by Mike Gousha of WISN-TV (ABC / Channel 12 in Milwaukee). Tina joined fellow panelists Tom Still from the Wisconsin Technology Council, and Nicole Langley from Manpower. The program, UPFRONT with Mike Gousha, airs in Milwaukee on WISN (channel 12) on Wednesday, August 19 at 8:00 PM. It airs in Green Bay on WFRV (channel 5) on Wednesday, August 19 at 6:30 PM. In Madison, the special airs on on WKOW (channel 27) on Friday, August 21 at 7:00 PM.

SysLogic attended the 2009 Campaign Finale for United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF), where it was announced that the campaign exceeded its $9 million fundraising goal this year. SysLogic, and SysLogic's CEO Tina Chang, were recognized at the event with UPAF's Civic Partnership Award, in honor of SysLogic's ongoing commitment to helping UPAF achieve its goals to enrich the cultural lives of people of all ages in the greater Milwaukee community.

Junior Achievement Tina Chang Receives "Metropolitan Milwaukee Peak Performer" Award for 2008

SysLogic's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Tina Chang, was honored with Metropolitan Milwaukee's Peak Performer Award for 2008. This award is presented annually by Junior Achievement of Wisconsin as part of the Wisconsin Business Hall of Fame ceremonies and honors business performance and civic involvement. Ms. Chang's achievement was showcased during the Wisconsin Business Hall of Fame dinner and induction ceremony on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee.

Lecture: "Information Technology: How Will It Change the Blood Banking Industry?"

American Association of Blood Banks Annual Meeting


SysLogic's Director of Services and Technology, Rhommer Varilla, was a faculty presenter at the American Association of Blood Banks Annual Meeting. His session reviewed technologies that have gained acceptance in the IT industry and explained their application in the world of blood banking and cellular therapies. Technologies that were covered include Internet/intranet and Web-based applications, wireless networking and communications, radio frequency identification (RFID), business intelligence/data warehousing, and imaging.
