"Tina Chang asks Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer about Microsoft's vision for health solutions at MIX '08"

During the keynote interview of Steve Ballmer, streamed live to the public, Tina was able to ask the Microsoft CEO about Microsoft's plan in the health solutions space with Healthvault and the recent announcement of the Amalga family of Health Enterprise Systems.

Ballmer indicated healthcare is the one area where Microsoft is making large investments in because of how large the industry is and how much room there is to improve healthcare IT.  He also noted that with Healthvault they are relying on third party innovation to help stimulate how patient owned personal health information can improve patient care.

SysLogic is currently partnering with Microsoft and the Wisconsin Health Information Exchange (WHIE) on a project that uses Amalga.
